Dr. Bentz’s career philosophy is based on her belief that each animal she treats is not just a pet, but a family member deserving of attention to their individual needs. It is this core belief that led her to the field of veterinary medicine at a very young age. Growing up, Dr. Bentz raised everything from cats and dogs to rabbits and horses, which soon gave way to volunteer work at local veterinary hospitals and clinics. A true Colorado native, Dr. Bentz decided to pursue her veterinary interest at Colorado State University where she earned her B.S. in Equine Science. From there, she was accepted to the esteemed DVM program at CSU and proudly received her degree as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine accordingly.

Cheryl Adaska DVM
During her time on the Olympic Peninsula, Dr. Adaska focused on
avian/exotic and wildlife medicine with a developing interest in
emergency/critical care for companion animals.
Her love of continued education and advancement of clinical skills lead
to her pursuit of a residency in emergency and critical care. With this goal in mind, Dr. Adaska moved to
California where after working as an emergency veterinarian in specialty
hospitals around the San Francisco Bay Area she was granted a fellowship
in emergency/critical care at the University of California - Davis
Veterinary Teaching Hospital.
Throughout Dr. Adaska’s professional life, the most
rewarding aspect of medicine has always been participation in the maintenance
of her client/patient’s invaluable bond.
The decision to settle down in a high quality family practice and foster
these relationships on a long-term basis was influential in her recent return
to Colorado where she could also be close to her family.
Dr. Adaska’s practice philosophy focuses on client
education and team work to guide clients through the range of diagnostic and treatment
options to provide the best care for each of her patients. She is very excited to join Mountain Ridge
Animal Hospital’s health care team and is dedicated to the continuing challenge
of providing each patient with the highest standard of compassionate care. |
