Dr. Bentz’s career philosophy is based on her belief that each
animal she treats is not just a pet, but a family member deserving of
attention to their individual needs. It is this core belief that led
her to the field of veterinary medicine at a very young age. Growing
up, Dr. Bentz raised everything from cats and dogs to rabbits and
horses, which soon gave way to volunteer work at local veterinary
hospitals and clinics.
A true Colorado native, Dr. Bentz decided to pursue her veterinary
interest at Colorado State University where she earned her B.S. in
Equine Science. From there, she was accepted to the esteemed DVM
program at CSU and proudly received her degree as a Doctor of Veterinary
Medicine accordingly. |

Dr. Katharyn Gilmartin attended Colorado State
University, College ofVeterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences and
received her doctor of
veterinary medicine in 2006. During her senior
year in veterinaryschool she became a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist
in both small and large animals. After graduating, Dr. Gilmartin completed a one-year internship in small animal medicine and
surgery at the VCA South Shore Animal Hospital in Massachusetts. She
then practiced general and emergency medicine in northern Boston
for the last four years.
Despite being closer to family on the east coast, her heart
remained in Colorado. In April 2011 she moved back to Colorado with her son, husband, and two dogs and joined the
Mountain Ridge Animal Hospital family.
Katharyn enjoys both the medical and surgical
aspects of veterinary medicine, as well as supporting the human-animal
bond. Her hope is to
help strengthen the human-animal bond between you
and your pet by taking the appropriate steps to prevent disease
and promote optimal wellness to allow your pet to live the longest
life possible. She is delighted to work in an environment that provides
high quality
medicine and care, while maintaining the welcoming
atmosphere of a small clinic.
Her desire is to provide your family with high
quality and compassionate veterinary care. |
